So I don’t remember which of you jerks posted this link to the craigslist ad, but now I’m going to go look at it on Thursday. I clearly have the time for another project, and need one like I need a hole in the head. Doesn’t matter though because personal dune buggy. 650 Rotax motor, better springs, sounds like a brilliant death trap!

I was sure they had the wrong pics at first.

Nope, and the second generation ATVs were called Pilots, because that’s not even more confusing when you’re trying to get info on them.

My neighbor in HS had two of these things. They were awesome. Not quite as fast as my quads but a very different experience. I'd love to get a pair now.

Hahaha!
Birddog posted that for me. Let us know how it looks, I’ve been mighty tempted by it.

HAHA, Exactly what I don’t want it to do. It has a 400 currently, which should be more than enough. Still I want to see how it looks, $480 seems pretty cheap if it’s as good as he’s saying. I’ve got Vegas odds in it having a bent frame.

$480? Dude, what is there to look at?

I’ve rescued worse looking machines. If he’d go $350 it would be a good project. It’s still questionable though.

Potential money pit. Any parts for these are generally custom made, and if the central frame is bent or damaged it wouldn’t be worth it. The FL250s have no rear suspension, so there is potential that the frame took a major beating over the course of it’s life. If this was an FL350, I would already own it.
